ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is based on a pic that my boyfriend took a few years ago. It was Halloween night and we were taking the subway to a techno party. We were very excited. The neon lights were making us shine.
Looking at his skull mask, I suddenly thought in my head something like: “Till death tears us apart”. It sounded very romantic and a little bit sarcastic.
The title of the artwork, “Hell Carmen!” It’s obviously a joke playing on the name of the subway station.
