TWO is a project that explores duality through masks. In the show, two different languages converge: painting and drawing.

In a society purely based on fiction, we have to choose our roles every day. Will we play as executioners, angels, or monsters? The answer to this question (the mask we wear for self-affirmation and act of decision) is the focal point of this painting series. I have been working on this collection since 2016, and it delves deeply into the complexities of our chosen identities.

What lies behind these colorful masks? How does the voice sound before it is amplified and distorted? I explore these questions through a new series of untitled drawings. Incoherence, fragments and stains are sewn together in skins as delicate as paper.
